CV joint replacement help needed on 95 850 automatic 850 1995

i wish to replace my noisy CV joints in the front
i have read through the bay 13 instructions on front wheel hub replacement and it appears that im just a hop & skip away at that point
what should i look for as i continue towards the transmission from the hub -
i think i shall replace the hubs at the same time

i have a timing belt change past due, so i may do it on the same weekend
should i leave the cv off to aid in access for the timing belt change?
