1996 850 GLT wagon - middle seat best locked 850 1996

You will have to fold up the seat bottom cushion and unbolt the lower end of the belt from the floor. Then you can restore the backrest to the upright position and the belt will unlock. Be carefull not to let the belt retract any further. There is a point of no return. The usual cause for the belt slipping in too far is oneopf the "stop buttons" has fallen out of the webbing. The button prevents the belt from retracting too far. The buttons are available at dealer for a buck or 2.
