Flame Trap question S70

Today I tried to clean the flame trap by following the instruction on
volvospeed.com Bay 13. After all the work, I reached and open up the connector and found no flame trap inside! My car is a 1998 S70 non-turbo.
Anyone have any idea on this? Also does anyone have any experiences
in removing the side skirt? Thanks for any thought
