'98 V70 a/c drip V70-XC70 1998

It's warming up in So. Cal. and we just started using the a/c on our newly aquired '98 V70 Base... and even after short drives we're seeing a fair amount of clear H20 (4-8 oz.) dripping off the a/c unit, running down along the firewall and leaving a noticeable puddle on the pavement between the front tires. The dealer claims it to be normal, harmless condensation build up. Seems odd to me, and it's not even summer yet. Anyone out there experiencing the same thing???
