Where Is The Piston Cooling Valve Located? V70-XC70

I've got the annoying high-pitched whine at idle - dealer says it's the Piston Cooling Valve. This is the valve that controls the oil spray that cools the pistons I believe, aka Pressure Control Valve. The part number they wrote down was 9497918. I still need to order one.

I'm all set to pull the intake manifold to clean the PCV hose and throttle body, but if the Piston Cooling Valve is there too, then I'll wait until I have that part in hand.....

I've done a bunch of searches here and on volvospeed, and looked through my Haynes manual, and can't find out where it's located - is it under the intake manifold?

Oh, my car is a 2000 V70R.

cheers,
andrew
