Alternator removal V70-XC70 1999

Hi

I'm trying to replace the alternator on my 99 V70 T5. Undoing the alternator bolts and removal of the belt is nice and straight forward (with just a few scratches all over my hands!).

My question is, how the heck do you get the alternator out once undone and removed from the bracket? It has air con which gets in the way removing it from the bottom and the power steering reservoir is in the way trying to get it out from the top.

There must be some tricks of the trade?

Thanks
Simon.
