CD Player S80

I seem to be having a problem with my CD player not wanting to play "burned" copies of CD's. I called a car stereo place and they said that older CD players do not use the corret colored laser to read copied discs. I was told that the only cure for this was to purchase a CD changer and have it installed in the trunk or somewhere.......anyone else have this problem? ANyone have any other advice to offer? It;s a 1999 S80 2.9...and currentlu hast the Volvo sound system in it....CD player (4 in dash) , AM'FM stereo
