'94 855T Turbo leaking oil 850

NJA,
How severe is the oil leak and is it contained in the hoses? Tell you why. Ray N. is correct as there is oil collection in the hoses to a certain extent. Also, there is a chronic turbo line leak which IPDUSA.com sells a gasket kit for the turbo drain pipe seal. (http://www.ipdusa.com/ProductsCat.aspx?CategoryID=471&NodeID=179&RootID=629) Sells for $8.50 plus shipping. I ordered one for my 1998 Cross Country. They are a challenge to replace, although it depends on skill/expertise. A decent mechanic should be able to do it in a half hour. Reference to this can be found on Volvospeed.com in the maintenance section. All the specifics are detailed. If the car is running fine after your repair of the intake, why would the mechanic say the turbo leak was the problem? I personally have never heard of anyone replacing a turbo-charger. Of course I don't know everyone. lol In any event, there are better deals than $1500 of your hard earned money.

Barry
