Windsheild Replacement 850 1993

My front windshield had a small ding in it and cracked when I had the heater on too hot when the temperature outside was below freezing. I knew to watch out for that but just spaced it that day. Costly mistake. At any rate, the glass people quoted me 285.00 for a new windsheild and 360.00 for a Pilkington windsheild. Any reason to go with Pilkington and spend the extra money?
