s40 driver door lock problem S40-V40 2001

i have a 2001 s40 and this problem just happened one day...i press the unlock button on the remote and the driver door button only comes up halfway...i press the unlock button again and the rest of the door unlocks and still the driver door lock button doesn't move...i have to get my key out and manually turn the door lock, then the button comes up all the way...i have to open my door, then take out my key which locks the door before getting in...button not coming up all the way from the inside as well...i have to manually pull the button up..HELP!!!

what could be causing this, is this an easy fix like lubricating something or definitely a dealer job...thanks to those who can help
