C70 ProLogic Sound System High Pitched Noise Problem C70

I purchased a 2004 C70 with the SC-901 stereo and the Dolby ProLogic. I have noticed, however, what appears to be a problem when the stereo is in ProLogic mode regardless of FM or playing CDs. The problem is a high pitched noise similar to what you hear when you have your TV on but the volume turned off. If I place the stereo into regular or 3CH mode, the noise disappears. The other interesting thing is that the noise appears after I have driven the car for a period of time (upon first starting after a rest, I don't seem to hear it).

Was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar? If so, what was the resolution? Many thanks.
