reving high on start 850 1996

Hello all. My wifes 850 is reving up to 5500-6000 rpm on start up for a few seconds some times. It usally only happens after sitting for a day without running. We have taken it to the dealer 4 times, since it is still under warranty. The first three times they didnt get any codes back after hooking it up to the computrer. Today when it happened, we took it to the dealer and the computer returned codes for the cooling fan relay,the evaporator cannister and the ECT sensor. None of those are covered by warranty but I think I might be able to replace the ect and relay myself. The guys at the dealer have no idea weather or not this will fix the problem. Anyone have any ideas?
