SRI didn't come on at 8000kms S70 2000

I just had my oil changed at 9100kms - well past the normal 8000km interval the SRI lamp usually prompts my wife.

I know the ignition key sequence for the SRI reset - but can I restart the clock/counter even if the lamp is not lit?

How do you change the frequency from 8 to 12 thou kms - or vs a vs? Maybe it was inadvertantly set to 12K at my last oil change?

Will the SRI just quit lighting if ignored? I'm trying to figure out how the milage got past us.

Thanks for your help!!
