Make the brake squeel go away! 850 1995

I recently put drilled rotors and new zimmerman pads on my 95 855 glt na, and now have a squeel that alerts my dogs from a mile away. I think it comes from not using enough of the lube stuff when I installed the new pads, and I re-used the shims from the rear pads. I ordered new shims from FCP, but do I put lube between the shim and pad? The shim and the caliper? Should I just lube everything except the brake pad surface? The stopping has really improved but the squeal has to go. TIA, Chuck.
