Cruise not working 850 1995

Last Saturday I bought the '95 855t, 77k, all service records, local car and I love it! Problem is everyone wants to run me on the daily highway commute. No big deal. ;) Can't even get gas without attracting attention and conversation.

Actually feel a little self concious, a graying middle aged guy blasting Zappa in a Volvo wagon. "Excuse me I was searching for NPR."

Anyway, the only thing I need to fix is the cruise control. I'd read somewhere long ago that a vacumn line near a headlight can get chafed through and cause the cruise it to fail. Does this ring a bell? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
