Not highway driving, but spirited driving like 3500-5000 rpm. The turbo is always 'ENGAGED' WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING, but at idle the turbo cools down rapidly.

The turbos in Volvos are quite robust and have water cooling as well as oil. I never worry about the turbo unless I am having 'fun' in 2nd gear.
