vehicle lost power with engine code on dash going up hill V70-XC70 2012

So, traveling home last Sunday afternoon everything seemed fine till I got about 1/3 the way up a hill. Then an error message displayed on the dash "Reduce speed or shift up", I could only reduce speed. I crawled to the top of the hill to safety and pulled off the road. As soon as I did I had smoke coming from the engine compartment. I popped the hood and the smoke was coming from under the plastic cover to the ignition coils and plugs. The coil closest to the drive side was smoking like mad. I shut the car off and let the smoke clear out. After pulling the coil out it was fried!

Vehicle was towed home at this point.

So, Monday I ordered new plugs and coils for the car. Now a week later I'm still waiting for them to come in. It seems no one has parts in their stock.

But in the mean time I decided to open the car up and start removing the coils from the car. The two coils that sit in front of the passenger side were sitting in oil when I took them out. ugh...

My engine compartment is totally clean and no signs of an oil leak. The PCV system was replaced about 80k miles ago and shows no signs of leaking. When should it be replaced?

To get the oil out of those two spark plug areas I took shop absorbing towels, cut in 1/3rds and put one down each spark plug cavity to absorb anything that maybe in them. When they are cleared out I will remove spark plugs and replace with new ones. These Volvo plugs have about 70k miles on them at this point.

After doing the towel to the spark plug areas I then decided to check the oil fill situation. At this point the car has been sitting idle for 3 days and is totally level. When I pulled the stick it read that it was about 3/16 of an inch over the fill line. I then decided to extract some oil out of the system and it now reads that I'm 1 'x' below the full line on the dipstick.

On the dipstick the space between the low level line and fill line represents how much oil?

What else should I be concerned with on this?
The car in question is a 2012 XC70 T6 AWD and has been maintained regularly.
The car has 310k miles on it at this time.
Thanks.
