2008 XC70 - hood open errors after repair performed V70-XC70 2008

Hello all!

So, here's the situation. I have a 2008 XC70. Lots of miles, but a decent car overall.

This week, I needed to have the entire PCV system replaced on the car. When I picked it up today from the mechanic, it was a throwing a "Engine Hood Open" error. I got out, opened the hood, slammed it a few times...no dice.

Something tells me that this is going to be a pricey fix. And I'd rather not spend much to fix it (No, I'm not mechanically inclined).

With that said...

I take it that there's no way that I can just pull a fuse somewhere, and make this light/notification disappear?

If not, what does this typically involve to fix, and how much am I looking at?
