Trying to buy a new Bosch Fuel Pressure Regulator - Can't find it anywhere 850

Hello All,

Some more good news. I mentioned above I got two used fuel pressure dampers from Volvo, Saab, BMW, Mini Cooper Dismantlers. My private mechanic called me yesterday. Both dampers worked, so he installed one and put the other aside. I purchased two dampers because: in case one was bad and because I have another 850 wagon of similar age and mileage and it too may need a replacement damper someday.

I am pleased with this development, because I knew I was taking a chance purchasing a used damper. It would be 20 years old and is made of rubber that has been drying out, no longer immersed in gasoline. I lucked out. First in the advice you all shared and secondly in finding two good used samples. With the lack of difficulty in starting my Volvo that has plagued me for over a year, I feel like I am driving a "New Car". For now anyway.

Hugh
