Forum behavior: I keep getting notices of "new' posts S80 2008

I can't find a webmaster link, so I'm sending up a flare here: Twice in the last week (late October; now early November), I've received notice of a new reply to one of my posts (https://www.brickboard.com/AWD/volvo/1668431/S80/changed_battery_car_doesnt_recognize_key_fobs.html). I find my way to the thread, and find that the most recent post dates from September 29, and, no, there's not the post I hoped for that would tell me that, by standing on my left foot while chanting verses from the Völsunga Saga, I can convince the car to recognize my fob now and forever.

These periodic reminders of a post I long since read and appreciated are not ruining my life; but I assume they're using system resources unnecessarily, so I'm posting this here so whoever feeds and burps the system software can evaluate the issue.
