Alternator for stranded XC90

The pulley is not held on by a nut. I haven't messed with it yet myself, but what I'm reading is that the pulley is reverse threaded onto the shaft and tightens in the direction of the belt -- counter-clockwise in the case of the alternator.

What probably happened in my case, again I haven't seen it yet, is that the pulley shifted off the bearing. If that's the case, it's going to be an interesting job.

I just received Rock Auto's incorrect alternator and was looking at the pulley setup to see what I'm facing tomorrow when I head in the direction of the XC.

FYI, don't trust Rock Auto's alternator listing for the '05 XC90. They don't have it right, confirmed by Bosch and cross-referencing Bosch's p/n and Volvo's p/n on ACDelco's website.

I'm waiting to hear how Rock Auto will redress this situation.
