Ha ha ha! "Daleks are given a bad rap."
My V60 is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside.
The comfort of the V60 seats is far above the OB. Last November I took a 2900 mile trip in the OB and thought I was going to die or jump out of the car. The seat and geometry of driving was terrible.
I thought I would be getting a bit better MPG than I am getting on the V60. I think my 2007 V50 got better MPG.
My subbie was a 2.5, about 300 pound less than the V60 and was AWD all the time. I'm getting a fair amount less MPG than the subbie.
As I told my wife, even if I get a lot less, I don't drive many miles and of the miles I do drive, the feel, the reaction of the Volvo is soooo much better than the Subbie....so who cares. If it costs $200 more a year for gas --- so be it. The roar of that subbie in the morning, 3000 > 3300 RPM and only going 25 MPH was odd.
I'm wondering if the 18 inch rims were OEM or was 17 inch? If not, was the car computer calibrated for the bigger wheels? The tires are low profile Continental ContiPro.
I'll wait until I fill up a few times and that will give a better idea of real life results.
