My 2006 S40 automatic transmission shifter blind has come apart. I suspect this is not unusual. This is the piece of plastic that covers the opening into the center console as the gear selector is moved. This item also has a sensor magnet that communicates to the dashboard the position of the gear selector. Any words of wisdom on how to disassemble the center console to access and replace? The part is #8699465. Thank you!
