Rear wiper stopped V70-XC70

If the wiper arm splines are as fine as those on the front of a 740 they are prone to slip, I'll bet.

If you do take it apart, examine the splines and inside the wiper arm mount. There may be worn material that you can clean out.

On our 740s, I would first add a washer under the nut, to apply more pressure. If things were real bad, I would wrap a few turns of fine copper wire around the splines to add friction to the assembly. If the inside of the wiper arm socket is badly worn, a new arm is in order.

Clean and oil any pivots - its dirty back there.
