Cylinder head casting number, what do they mean??? V70-XC70 2007

So I ask this question as in the process of lapping my valves into my head I seem to have made things worse than what I started with.

With out going into details, I went to one of the local PNP today and pulled a used head off of a 2006 S60 2.4T

Its casting number is 1001837007.

The casting number off of my 2007 XC70 is 1001837009.

To my eye the heads look the same, the valve covers look the same, and the CAMs and VVT both look identical.

I'm trying to do my due diligence, but I'm leaning very much to cleaning this new head up and just slapping it on and calling it done!

Any one out here with a good reason why I should not do this, and why?

Thanks in advance,

Matt
