06 XC70 T5 P0016 and P0017 post timing belt change plus occ oil light V70-XC70 2006

Klaus,

5500 RPMs was quite some time ago, perhaps years! The Mobile 1 10W30 is full synthetic.

The oil light only came on once and the engine did not seem to be running in model T mode, it sounded normal. It has not come on again.

If I clear the 0016 and 0017, the CEL and the codes go away with engine not running. I start the engine and drive, or just let it sit idling, the CEL stays off. No codes to be found while running (no codes, no CEL)'

Turn the ignition off, turn the ignition back on, CEL shows 0016 and 0017 codes are back, even before starting the engine again. .

As a repeat, I did replace the timing belt before the codes showed up, no codes before that.

Car has 100K on it, oil has been changed religiously including filter. Being a 2006 with 100K miles on it you can tell it is not driven far or often and I swear I saw granny running faster than the car is driven:)

The only other issue the car had was 5K ago, CEL came on for bad fuel rail pressure sensor. Replaced sensor with Volvo part, reset code, car ran fine again With bad fuel pressure sensor, engine seemed to surge and drop out on occasion plus poor idle. Pretty sure this is not related to the above, just being thourough.
