Hey Bill,
I forgot my email address. Seems that a steel carrying barge hit a sand bar just west of Passau and has blocked the river for a week or so. We are using the ship as a hotel for a couple of days and you will not see the ship move anymore.

Having a great time and starting to get my German back. Not too many Volvos down here, but all that I have seen have the D5 engine. Drivers really stop for pedestrians, if we are in a cross walk, J walkers are just run over like speed bumps.

Horns are seldom heard. The schnitzle and beer is worth the trip!!
