I'm not sure I understand what you are suggesting.

The scan tool showed two codes -- P1171 and P1181.

I can upload a pic I took of the scan tool if it will help.

Code lists like the one I quoted do show both codes.

If there is another site that you might suggest that would have more active discussions of S80 issues, it would be helpful.

The RWD part of this board has been marvelous for helping me with issues pertaining to my '82 245 wagon. But this is my first foray into the AWD side.
