96 850 Turbo Flashing orange arrow transmission fault 850

Ok still trying to determine root cause of the flashing transmission arrow on this new2me for my daughter (may keep it for myself). Here is what I know:

- The car sat for about 10 months before I got the car

- Transmission shifts normally, even the winter mode shifts in and out like normal although you can't tell by the flashing light on constantly.

- The back up lights come on normally

- DTC code P0715 turbine shaft speed electrical circuit

- CEL is on

- Unplugged the transmission control module and reconnected just incase there was a bad connection there on one of the pins.

- The CEL comes on within a few seconds of starting the engine. The flashing arrow normally comes on as soon as you start the engine but sometimes it comes on after you drive a few hundred feet.

- Put a supposed good (used) speed sensor (tee'd in to existing wiring w/o disconnecting sensor on car) and did not resolve issue. The teeing in may cause a problem where as opposed to cutting wire and splicing in only the new sensor may not have. Maybe someone smarter than me could tell me, and there are tons of you out there! Just didn't want to cut the wires yet. This was the one directly under the air box. Want to check the upstream wiring to this sensor where it connects to the transmission control module but not sure what pins to check.

- Got another used speed sensor with the plug, the one further back towards the firewall. Didn't replace that one as the resistance on the old one checked out within the resistance spec of 300-600 ohm, it has 430 ohm. Based on this I assume this sensor is probably good. I want to check the upstream wiring to this sensor where it connects to the transmission control module but not sure what pins to check.

Anything to do with the PNP switch? Anybody know what pins at the control module I can probe to verify the speed sensor wiring for both sensors ? Any other possible causes? I cant get the car to pass inspection until the CEL light is off.
