New Addition to the fleet V70-XC70

Alan,

I have a 2004 (non-turbo)V70, with 176K miles.
My wife has a 2003 XC Turbo, etc with 115K miles.
My car from 0 to 70 is a lot faster than my wife's.
Even she notes the difference when she uses my car.
Both cars run fine otherwise.

The last time this issue came up it was attributed to the fuzzy logic computer
controls for the AT.

If you tend to push a car (I do) or drive gently (my wife does) the transmission adjusts for the driving style. My car holds the lower gears longer in normal driving (faster, but poorer gas mileage) and my wife's car
up-shifts much sooner (sluggish and better gas mileage).
Klaus will come on and help sort this out.
