Replacing 850 thermostat 850 1994

All,

I just acquired a 1994 base 850 from its original owner - it's a 5-speed car and I'm absolutely loving it. It doesn't feel like it has 197k on it (current odometer reading).

However, I am planning to do some work on it later today. The first order of business is to replace the thermostat. I know I am going to use a Volvo OEM part. Which one should I use: 82, 87, or 90 degree? Folks I know have used these to varying results. (Note: Temp readings are in Celsius) An old Volvo tech I know says to stick with the 87.
