rear view mirror C70

I have a mirror on a wand that I bought from Sears.

It has two ball joints joined by two plates with sockets on each end, and you can set the resistance in the joints by adjusting the screw and nut that hold the plates together.

As a last resort, remove the mirror from the ball on the stalk and find a ball to epoxy to the mirror. Then make two plates with deep dimples in the ends and put a hole, nut, and bolt to hold them together.

Go to Sears and search for a mechanic's mirror to see the joint I mention.
