Folks,

One feels an end to the Volvo RWD ownership sometime soon.

I'm in no way enamored with the AWD/FWD after perhaps the 1997-98 or so S 70.

Though I read articles by Klaus and you folks advocating even the AWD models as the Haldex AWD system is more robust than what was used before.

Yet I read articles of folks with AWD models newer than 2004 that did not keep the Haldex system up, the issue of the splined shaft from the trans-axle output to ? remains a weakness.

No need for fancy. Normally aspired and manual transmission. FWD would be fine.
