Re: A most enjoyable upgrade for 98 and older for under $20 S70 1998

Kenny, I see that you have Kevlar front brake pads. I have the EBC Greeenstuff, which is Kevlar I believe. My OEM rotors warped shortly after installation of the new pads. I had them turned last week. (John , the Volvo repair person said a while back that you aren't supposed to turn Volvo Rotors, but I needed to stall for time and money. Although, a couple hundred dollars isn't cheap. I expect that they may warp again if it is because the pads get hotter than Volvo pads. My car did sit in an uneven position for a month while I was out of town; I noticed the warping after I returned. The calipers are rebuilts, I wasn't sure if there could have been a sticking problem with them. Anyway, do you think the cross drilled rotors would be less likely to warp than the original ones with the Kevlar? Have you ever had the warped rotor problem? Or is that more a problem with older 850's?
