A most enjoyable upgrade for 98 and older for under $20 S70 1998

I just performed a very cool upgrade for the total cost of $17.78 including tax. The upgrade is or are the windshield spray nozzles. I changed from the low profile ones that came with my car to the new-style ones (2000 and on?). Although I like the looks of the old-style ones better, the functionality of the new-style ones is far superior. The old ones sprayed two skinny sprays (each) onto the windshield and were almost unuajustable. I found myself timing the spray to hit the windshield at just the right time to get optimum pread over the entire area. The new ones produce a fan-shaped mist rather than two discreet streams. This mis covers the entire area no matter where the wiper is and I have to use MUCH less fluid to get the window clean. Also gone is the dry spot at the bottom left. So, aside from the appearance it is a great change all around. The new ones are unajustable as well, but doesn't seem like it is necessary.

The new nozzles fit right into the place of the old ones. Strangely, the parts guy said they still carry both styles. Wonder why? Any Ideas?

Oh, here are the part numbers, $8/ea at my dealer:

old style: 9127605

new style: 6816437
