Oil Pump S70 98

Folks,

The good people at my local Volvo Dealer (Rickenbaugh-Denver), repaired an annoying humm in my vehicle. This took a week and half for them to trial and error fix. As part of that process they replaced the oil pump. My querry is this, I have M1 synthetic oil in the vehicle a) when replacing oil pump does one loose any oil out of the vehicle b) if Yes and they replaced lost oil with non-synthetic am I screwed?

Thoughts?

Cheers,

Tim
