Throttle body missing teeth V70-XC70 2004

Mary's car limped home today and showed a p2108 code, bum TAC. Clearing the code let it run normally, but after driving around the block (~10 miles) it reset the error code and had a hesitation or delay in the throttle response.

Taking it apart, a tooth was missing on the gear on the throttle shaft. The teeth on either other side were worn, but not missing. Time for a new throttle body.

The Volvo part number on the unit is 30650013. The Bosch part number is 0280750103. At Tasca the Volvo pn comes up as 30711554 for $400.

At eeuroparts both searches come up with the 30711554 part at $329.

XeMODeX has a different unit that is supposed to work in place of either part number and has a contactless throttle position sensor instead of the OEM wipers. $400.

What do you think ? Volvo ? Aftermarket ? XeMODeX ?

Thanks

Greg
