ECC 1998 V70 all fans un-responsive... V70-XC70

Klaus,

Checked the fuse and it was fine.

Took out the glove box, knee bolster and air bag bolster.

I then whacked the fan a couple of times and it roared to life.

a few minutes of tinkering and I was able to determine that it is the fan's connector that is bad or not making proper contact with the inside of the motor itself. I was able to use a small shim to wedge the connector in such a position that it now works, for now.

I'll have to get to the pnp in a couple of weeks and yank one out so that I can make repairs to mine while I still have one being used in the car.

As far as blinking lights, yes I have them, but I have no idea what is causing them. I'm thinking that the two variable speed motors on the sides are going or are gone.

Is there a way to determine for a 1998 V70 what the blinking lights mean?

Thanks in advance,

Matt
