6cd changer failed - No Disk V70-XC70 1999

The external 6cd changer (stock) quit working. The display on my recently acquired SC-901 reads No Disk after the changer cycles through all 6 slots. Any advice?

When the 3cd changer on my 901 quit, I loaded some cds on my changer, but no luck. Luckily, I found on MatthewsVolvoSite how to fix my 901 by cleaning the lens. But that still leaves the external changer out of order and I was hoping to use it as an iPod input.

Please let me know if you have any advice. Thanks
