Limp Home Mode 850

Well the only tranny code is "No speedometer signal". Makes sense! I checked the tranny sensor and connector and it looks OK. Am I looking at an instrument cluster problem or something else?? The tranny axle sensor wire seems to go directly to the TCM module before going to the speedo.
