Oil in Coolant Reservoir, but no Coolant in Oil and humming noise at Startup S70 1998

#2 The humming noise should be the Idle Air Control motor which is on if the key is in posII. The SAS air pump is under the battery and will run for the first minute or so until the CAT warms up.

#1 This could be a bad radiator or a leaky headgasket (blowing exhaust into your antifreeze?) Usually, a bad radiator will allow the antifreeze to mix with the oil after the engine shuts down and the pressure is the highest.

Do yourself a favor and have the oil tested for antifreeze. There are strip test kits at the autoparts store.

Do not use stop leak.
