Aircon compressor 850 1996

I recently (about 3 weeks ago) had the compressor changed on the aircon. The only unit was dead - cycling off and on, very noisy (high frequency clicking/tapping noise) and no cooling.

The local Volvo dealer replaced the compressor, accumulator and did full flush etc.

After a couple of days the same high frequency clicking/tapping noise had returned (only on when aircon switched on). I plan to go back to the dealer on the next service and see why it's so noisy, but for now the aircon is cooling fine.

Would appreciate comments if this noise is typical on compressors on 850's? Are they noisy? The compressor on my old 240 (1984) is quite as a mouse.

Look forward to your comments.
