Re: Tune Up 850 1995

Alan,

Take out the air box to get good access to the distributor cap, plus you get the chance to clean the air box. Remove and check under the battery tray. My battery had leaked some acid and it got under the tray and on the cruise control vacuum motor, which lives under the battery tray. Again, a good opportunity to clean things up. The flame trap and all it's plastic components can be bought for under $5 at the dealers, I strongly suggest changing them. Note: the coil wire is sold separately from the plug wires. The job should give you no problems at all. Good luck.
