Hi,
if the coolant is dark brown/black and viscocity is thicker than usual you might have a oil leak into coolant. flush first and check both coolant and oil on regular basis for some time.
Had recently oil leak into coolant in my D5 engine which has Behr oil cooler on the back of the engine.
