I have used Dynomax Ultra Flow type mufflers on many of my cars. IMHO, they are the best I have used to date. They allow a nice deep rich and mellow rumble and don't project the highs too much. The sound level is kept down a bit by the factory converter, so if you take it off, there will be more noise. I love the Ultra flow systems enough to endorse them, which is not a common practice for me. They are a great alternative to a complete custom-engineered manifold back system, which are big bucks! They also seem to have enough different sizes and styles in the Ultra Flow product line to ensure that everyone gets a great fit. I have used them on my '95 Dakota w/318, '93 dodge shadow 3.0 mitsu engine, '94 accord ex, '92 shadow w/2.5L turbo, '68 dodge charger w/440. Each car gained significant mid-high end improvements. The torque on the accord suffered a little, but the gain on the top end was worth it. The noise level was barely noticeable on all installs except the Dakota with 318 V8. That truck sounded like a new camaro when it was done. Just thought that I would share with you some of my experiences. Thus far, I have yet to do any performance mods to my 850 T, but dynomax is in the plans for it.
