rear wiper V70-XC70 2001

I have a 2001 V70 with the rear wiper not working. The fuse in the rear panel for the wiper is OK. The fuse in the engine panel for the rear wiper is OK. I replaced both with no difference. I connected the wiper motor directly to a battery charger and it worked. There is no power to the motor when the switch is turned on. I removed interior panels to get at wiring and connections appear to be clean. I checked where the wiring harness might be compromised at the hinge and nothing appears broken. The dealer can't tell me if there is a relay for the wiper without spending some time and $$ on it but I interchanged each of the relays in the rear panel since all but one of them are the same. It could be the larger odd relay but Im not sure. Can anyone give advice before I do the unthinkable and make an appt at the dealer??
