Wipers on 1996 855 GLT 850

I have a frustrating wiper issue! The drivers side windshield wiper does not stay in contact with the windshield about the last 1/3 of its travel. This is the last 1/3 of when it goes from the down (off) position to its up (when wiper is closet to the drivers-side pillar) position. I've lubed the springs in the arms and this helped a little, but still not there. I've tryed gently manipulating the arm towards the pivot point to overall lower how the arm lays. No luck! Does anyone have any ideas? Is this an isolated incident, or do many of these models have the same issue?

Thanks!
