Daytime running lights! S80

Why would you want to turn off the daytime running lights? Do you have a wish to be t boned by some blind person at an intersection? Hit head on by the blind person's surviving relative while they are trying to pass on some two lane somewhere? I just don't understand. Perhaps you want an old lady with cataracts to enter a crosswalk in front of you so you can test the ABS, unless you have disabled that already.
