Is the new coil sitting on the plug correctly. When you first moved the coil from #1 to #2 and the code followed, you correctly assumed a bad coil - we all did. An aftermarket coil not working is not unheard of.

But are you sure you got the correct OEM coil? and plugged it in correctly? Strange!!!
