AC port (low & high) locations??? V70-XC70 1998

I will check if the high side port is threaded to accept a std high side hose. I say that because the low side thread-on port that has the pressostat is threaded for a charging hose, not a low pressure hose. Not really a problem on the low side becase you have the snap on connecter too.

I've worked mostly on the a/c systems in 740s. I have propane / isobutane mix working in one of my 740s currently. This is an excellant resource. http://yarchive.net/ac/index.html You can buy that as Envirosafe or Duracool. This is a good option for a lot of reasons. Breifly; hydrocarbon refrigerants are significantly better at carrying oil than 134a or r12 so your compressor is better protected, hc refrigerants are much less toxic to ourselves and the environment, and that have better cooling with lower head (high side) pressure. If you are concerned about flamability read this. http://yarchive.net/ac/hydrocarbon_danger.html That was certainly a concern of mine, but after a lot of careful reading I'm completely certain this is safe.
